In a wafer fab, a lamp bursting isn’t just a “technical glitch” or some annoying downtime. It’s a nightmare. Imagine a quartz tube giving out right in the middle of a high-load run. You’ve got glass shards and halogen gas raining down directly onto your silicon. Just like that, entire batches of wafers are scrap. It’s a costly mess that nobody wants to deal with. If you’re running these lamps at their limit, your cooling airflow has to keep up. If it doesn’t, the heat soak will eat away at your seals and kill the lamp’s lifespan. My advice?
